Morgan Receives Contract to Upgrade U.A.E. Mill
WORCESTER, Mass., U.S.A., November 15, 2004

Morgan Construction Company has received a contract from QASCO-Dubai for an upgrade of its single-strand rod mill in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

According to Paul Riches, director, Morgan Process Control, “The contract is for a new, state-of-the-art process control system, along with motors, mechanical drives and other miscellaneous equipment modifications. The upgrade,” he continued, “is designed to facilitate increased rolling speeds.”

Morgan was the supplier of the mill’s original No-Twist® Mill wire rod block, which was once located in the United States. Today, the mill produces low carbon, plain and rebar wire rod from 5.5mm to 12 mm in diameter.
