Morgan to Build Shanghai Rod Mill
WORCESTER, Mass., USA, March 19, 2002

Morgan Construction Company, of Worcester, Mass., has received an order from Baosteel Group Shanghai No. 5 Steel Company Ltd. of the People's Republic of China for a single-strand rod outlet to produce specialty and stainless steel products.

Mark Shore, Sales Manager, who announced the contract, said, "The order includes the very latest technology and designs for the No-Twist® mill, high-speed trimming shear, Reducing / Sizing Mill with on-line and off-line roll units, as well as two compactors, one wire tie and one strap."

Mr. Shore added that under the terms of the contract, the equipment will be designed at the company's Worcester headquarters, with manufacturing to be done at the company's production facilities at Morgan-Worcester and Morgan-China in Shanghai. Both are divisions of the company.
