Zhangjiagang Orders Third Rod Mill from Morgan
WORCESTER, Mass., March 28, 2000

Zhangjiagang Sheen-Faith Steel Corporation Ltd., in Jiangsu Province, the People's Republic of China, has ordered a high-speed rolling mill for plant #3 from Morgan Construction Company.

According to Colin Roy, vice president, International Rolling Mill Sales, "This is the third rolling mill that Morgan has built for the company since 1996. The contract calls for a 10-stand Morgan No-Twist® mill, and a high-speed pinch roll and laying head. The single strand mill, which is designed to produce rod at speeds of up to 120 meters per second, will have a rolling mill rate of 630,000 tonnes per year. He added that the mill is expected to be shipped in February 2001.

Zhangjiagang purchased its first Morgan high-speed mill in 1995 for plant #1, and its second in 1999 for plant #2. Both mills produce more than 600,000 tonnes per year.
