Morgan to Produce SCR 2500 System for
Korean Mill
WORCESTER, Mass., June 3, 1997
Morgan Construction Company has received an order
to produce a SCR 2500 System for Il-Jin Corporation, in Seoul, Korea.
According to John T. Buell, manager of nonferrous
sales, the order is being subcontracted through Southwire Company
in Carrollton, Ga., and is the first Morgan mill to be installed
at Il-Jin. "This contract also means that the new mill will
put Il-Jin into the copper rod mill business for the first time."
He said.
The contract calls for an entry shear and table,
two 12" stands, eight 8" stands, a pickling line, coiler
and pinch roll. "The mill, which will produce copper rod in
diameters from 8 mm to 18 mm, will give Il-Jin the capability to
produce 18 metric tons per hour," Buell added.
Morgan Construction Company, is a designer and
producer of high-quality rolling mill products and services for
the metal industry worldwide.
